Welcome to the NANAY project!
Nanay is a Filipino endearment term for "mother". While, NANAY means Nurturing Secure Attachment through Nursing and Awareness in the Early Years. This little project is built on this IT platform based on lactation and early years parenting know-how. Its geared to personally support not just the nanay's who want to breastfeed but everyone including members of the community who desire to raise children into secure and compassionate contributors to our society.

When we, as primary caregivers, meet the needs of our little ones with sensitivity and responsiveness, we set them up to become independent and have adaptive psychosocial skills that they may need to succeed later in life.
Hello, friends! I'm Nanay Jessi!
I am your regular parent who encounters everyday parenting challenges.
At first, parenting seemed easy, but it did not make sense! Until now, as I begin to understand more about parenting, I am met continuously with new challenges.
So I went on this journey to study early years parenting. I have a worked on IT research & development for a decade and the skills I acquired along with an exposure to modern-day parenting approaches motivated me to build a new path for many to discover what it takes to raise secure and compassionate children. Thus, the NANAY Project was born.
Today, I’m a skilled lactation coach (training with Childbirth International) and a certified early childhood educator. I work with a non-profit to develop community maternal and child health and daycare projects.
You can call me a science communicator too. I examine resources on lactation and parenting, translate the complex science into something digestible, and assist in solving challenges for families like you, especially first-time parents with the same secure attachment parenting goals.
I understand that we have individual experiences to share. With this in mind, I personalize my services to meet your needs. Aside from these, I am a work-in-progress ready to serve and grow with people like you. So enough about me, tell me your story! :)
